Earthquake Today: 3.0 Quake Shakes Bay Area Near San Ramon

UPDATE: A 2.9-magnitude earthquake hit close to San Ramon on Tuesday at around 3:30 p.m.

 

A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck near San Ramon, California, and Bay Area residents said they could feel it.

The US Geological survey said it struck about a mile east of San Ramon

The quake occurred at 10:04 a.m. local time and had a depth of five miles.

The epicenter was about four miles from Danville, Calif., and four miles from Dublin.
